As we decided to end quarterly catalogs we transitioned into a quarterly direct mail piece that would be sent to homes to advertise for any events and registrations in that time period. Our hopes were to drive customers to the website to register and to use this mailer more as a sales piece to move away from the catalog’s original purpose. This is an example of the direct mailer piece that I created, I decided to design something that still had “call out” areas to highlight major registrations or promotions as well as a calendar to help remind customers of any events and registrations that would be occurring in the coming months. For this edition I was inspired by animation and comic books and illustrated some elements within the photographs to create a fun, bright piece for the summer.
